Christmas Ghost Stories

 winter landscape (1811)

The first of four festive ebooks I’ve prepared for the blog, this is a collection of Victorian and Edwardian ghost stories with a Christmas (or at least a wintery) setting. There’s nothing startlingly new here – all of these tales have been widely anthologised before – but they’re just the thing for the darkest nights of the year.

Enjoy – and feel free to share with friends!

Thanks a lot for this but I cannot open any of the versions. Is there something wrong with them or it’s just my computer giving me trouble?

    Best regards,

I’ve checked the Kindle and the PDF files – they’re both fine. What program are you using to open them? I know the Kindle file doesn’t work on the Kindle Reader app. The best software for reading the Kindle file on a PC is the ‘mobipocket reader’, which you can download for free from the mobipocket website (search on google). The Kindle file doesn’t work on older Kindle devices either (although it should work on all the Kindle devices currently for sale on Amazon).

With PDF version, you should be able to view it online directly by clicking on the link. You can then download it onto your computer. Sometimes you get an error message saying that this type of file can harm your computer, but just press ‘Keep’ to download (no viruses here, I promise!)

Otherwise, I’m not really sure what the problem could be.

Let me know if you’ve any more info on how you’re trying to open the files.
